Mandatory face coverings in Denver starting May 6

“Stay at Home” Denver – A Public Health Order is in effect in Denver.  This includes a “stay at home” directive for the entire city that will last from March 24 – May 8. Essential activities needed for health and safety are exempt.

Starting May 6, everyone in Denver over the age of 3 must wear a face covering when outside their home. The use of simple cloth face coverings will slow the spread of #Covid_19 and help people who may have the virus & don’t know it from transmitting it.

This public health order requires people in certain public settings to wear a face covering beginning May 6, 2020 and lasting until further notice. Mayor Michael B. Hancock, through the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment (DDPHE), issued the public health order to protect public health and further prevent the spread of COVID-19. The city is also offering guidelines for residents to ensure compliance.
