Protect Your Bike in 3 Easy Steps

FLIP SNAP SELFIE

As of April 8, 2020, 615 bicycles have been stolen in Denver. That’s a lot of bikes and only 22 of them were registered with DPD. If and when the bikes are recovered, reuniting these stolen bikes with their rightful riders can be a little difficult because many owners can’t prove ownership. Luckily, that’s easily remedied with three simple steps: FLIP-SNAP-SELFIE!
Watch this video now for the step by step instructions…
AND you can also register your bike online at denvergov.org/police.

+5 BIKE THEFT PREVENTION TIPS:

1.) Whenever possible, store the bicycle in a house, locked garage, or shed.
2.) When securing it outside, use a quality lock, such as a U-lock, and include the frame and front wheel.
3.) Lock the bicycle to a secured structure, such as a bike rack or something that cannot be moved.
4.) Register your bike online at www.denvergov.org/police in case it is stolen or misplaced.
5.) Include owner identification details somewhere on the bike, such as a business card or phone number pushed down inside the seat tube.
