Dear Neighbors – we need your help.

This summer has seen an uptick in parties at Cranmer Park after hours – most of us have been teenagers at some point in our lives and can understand this summer has been unusual and possibly frustrating for young people chaffing under COVID restrictions.  Unfortunately, late night parties have become a problem, along with reports of drunken driving, and we hope you can help.  This is now a nuisance that has become potentially dangerous.  Our urban parks, including all the parks within our neighborhood boundary: Burns, Cranmer, and Robinson are open from 5:00 am until 11:00 pm.  Remaining in any park after hours is prohibited. If you see or hear after hours activity or inappropriate behavior in the park or in the neighborhood nearby (especially alleys), please report this to 311 or to our police non-emergency number, 720-913-2000 (unless, of course, it is an emergency and then call 911).

We are grateful for your care of our parks and even the knuckleheads who have been using them badly this summer – your concern might save a life!

How can I report a problem in a park?

Residents should report issues to pocketgov.com or 311 (720-913-1311) so that a case can be generated, routed to the appropriate agency/team, tracked and closed.

How can I report park rule violations?

Park users who witness behavior that violates Denver Parks and Recreation (DPR) Rules and Regulations can report the activity while it is occurring to the Denver Park Ranger Office by calling 311 (720-913-1311). Depending on resources available, a Ranger can be dispatched to the area to further assess the situation. For emergencies, call 911.

Who are the Park Rangers?

The mission of Denver Park Rangers is to protect park resources, maximize public safety in parks, and to provide visitors with resources. Rangers patrol daily from 3:00am until 10:30pm by foot, bicycle and motorized vehicles, making contact with park visitors to educate them about the reasons for various rules, regulations and policies. Additionally, Denver Park Rangers host free, educational youth and family activities such as Fishing is Fun and the Jr. Ranger program.
