Short Term Rentals are in every neighborhood in the city, including Hilltop, and whether you are an owner of a STR or a neighbor, this is an opportunity to learn about how ADUs intersect with STRs.
The City and County of Denver will participate in a Mile High Hosts educational series event this week on “What you need to know about ADUs.”
If you are a current or prospective short-term rental host in Denver, this event will help you better understand the regulatory framework for accessory dwelling units, including how to get started, what it’s like to build an ADU, and how to make sure you’re in compliance with Denver’s short-term rental laws.
Erica Rogers with the Denver City Attorney’s Office will speak about regulations for using an ADU as a short-term rental, and Abe Barge with Community Planning and Development will speak about rules and regulations to build ADUs.
The event will be held on Thursday, April 28 at noon. Please register in advance for this free event.
Earlier this year, the Denver Department of Excise and Licenses sent out an informational bulletin on using ADUs as short-term rentals. More information and answers to other frequently asked questionsabout ADUs and short-term rentals are available on our webpage.
Please share this message with any other interested stakeholders and encourage them to sign up for the short-term rentals informational bulletin for news and updates as they become available.
If you have questions or comments, email licenses@denvergov.org.
Thank you,
Department of Excise and Licenses
